Rollins Band in 2001

For years, I've been meaning to scan film negatives that I have stored in various binders. I began this work a while ago and kind of abandoned it when I realized how much time it would take me to complete. Since I'm still recovering from a fractured tibia and not really shooting many shows in the near future, I'm going to finally move this project forward. I've begun by scanning some film I shot at Warped Tour back on August 4, 2001 at Randall's Island. I ended up shooting many frames of Rollins Band which can be seen in the gallery above. Pretty sure these were taken with my Minolta Maxxum camera that I received as a high school graduation gift from my parents.

The Musical Archives

For the past ten years, I have been taking pictures of musicians as they perform. Many of the images I have taken haven't been seen by anyone. Luckily, this is about to change. I am proud to announce the musical archives project. For an extended period of time, I will be scanning images from performances previously shot on film, like the photo of Nic Offer of !!! at the 2003 Village Voice Siren Festival, above. I have lots of unprocessed rolls of film and with the help of the fine, wonderful folks at Accurate Photo Shop in Park Slope, these never before seen images will be posted here and on Flickr.
