The Make-Up, Martin Rev, James Chance and the Contortions, and more at Seaport Music Festival
Seaport Music Festival celebrates their fifteenth anniversary this year and to commemorate this occasion, the festival featured comedy (on Thursday, September 7th), dance (on Friday, September 8th), and live music sets on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th.
On Sunday, the day long show took place on Pier 16 and it was curated by DJ Jonathan Toubin, who introduced each act and played records in between sets. The lineup featured both new bands (Warm Drag, Surfbort, Death Valley Girls, The Nude Party, plus The Wolfmanhattan Project, the second ever performance by the trio featuring music veterans Bob Bert, Mick Collins, and Kid Congo) and older ones (James Chance and the Contortions, Martin Rev [of Suicide] and Washington, DC's The Make-Up) performing for free for fans of all ages. My images from the day long event appear above and the images of Surfbort are NSFW, by the way.
